Textiles in the Park, Morden Hall - by Joyce

Jane and I saw an interesting exhibition yesterday in the Stableyard Gallery at Morden Hall.

Twenty four textile artists from Contemporary Textiles who had a get together at Morden Hall Park to sketch and take photos.

They then made textile artworks interpreting in their own ways what had inspired them.

A great variety of techniques with one large display where they had all used the same colours but made different pieces, each 20inch square so they hung together as one whole.

Well worth a visit, easy journey on the Croydon to Wimbledon section of the Tram, get off at Phipps Bridge and you’re there!
