Shirley Quilters meets once a month on the on the third Tuesday, from 7.30 p.m. until 9.30 p.m. at Shirley Methodist Church, Eldon Avenue, Shirley, Croydon, Surrey, CR0 8SD.  As of May 2011 Shirley Quilters became a 'members only' group, although non member visitors are more than welcome for guest speakers and exhibitions, £4.00 entrance to include tea or coffee.  If you would like further information please email us.  Details can be found on the 'Contact Us' tab.

Saturday workshops are held on a regular basis. These may be run by an invited quilter but we also have talented members who run workshops as well. Guest speakers present talks and demonstrations on various aspects of patchwork, quilting and associated topics.  Mini workshops are part of the programme and are often held during the monthly evening meetings.  The programme commences in January and the year ahead promises to be both varied and fun.

Due to circumstances beyond Shirley Quilters' control, the 2016 Exhibition had to be cancelled.  Members had been working on a Blue Challenge during the year and these were displayed at the October meeting when Jennie Rayment was the guest speaker and kindly judged the winner.  A selection of these exhibits are on the Quilt Show pages.

Shirley Quilters has an extensive library of patchwork and quilting books, DVDs and we are now adding some new patterns to the library.  These are always available for the members to borrow.

As a Group, we are always happy to assist new members in giving help and advice.  However, it should not be considered as a teaching group for people who have no experience of patchwork and quilting.
